A large sculpture is also installed outside Terminal 3 at CPH Airport to greet those who arrive in Denmark.

Hendes professionelle karriere strækker sig over 35 år. Hun har udstillet separat i Canada, Danmark, Island, Italien, Storbritannien, Sverige, Tyskland og USA.

Steinunn er internationalt repræsenteret med værker i fremtrædende offentlige og private samlinger såsom Islands Nationalgalleri, Carl XVI Gustavs samling, City of Hull, England, University of Aberdeen, Skotland, Cawdor Castle, Skotland, The Brauer Museum, USA, Istanbul Museum of Modern Art og her i København på Rigshospitalet og i Finansrådet.
